Artist Statement
My artwork is an exploration of nature’s inspiration, our human footprint, and the effects of time. This symbolic abstract art is built from reclaimed materials, elements from nature, and paint creating a mixed media piece that has layers of textures. My process of adding layers and taking away parts of those layers, like erosion to the earth, allows what lies beneath to be revealed, as life often reveals an undiscovered beauty emerging from the ashes of life’s challenges. The endless discovery of my process, as it unfolds before me, holds the passion that drives me.

Passionate about visual presentation Ward is relentlessly seeking the next adventure to inspire his journey through abstract exploration.
When Ward is not in his creative space he is most likely enjoying nature with his dog Odus. The astounding duo enjoys traveling, surfing, snowboarding, kayaking and yes…wood working.
